Situated in the south-east part of Barbados, on a former sugar plantation dating back to the early 1700s, lies Foursquare distillery. This 17-year-old Foursquare (MBFS) was distilled in 2006 and aged 14 years in American white oak casks before being transported to Europe in 2020 where it was transferred into a once used bourbon barrel.
We intended to bottle only one Foursquare initially, but couldn't help ourselves when, during a tasting, we found this Rum Revelation with the help of a good friend.
The label is designed by Toronto-based illustrator James Tuer, whose personal work draws inspiration from 80s sci-fi, vintage travel posters and 90s comic book art. He has also worked with some incredible brands to create outstanding pieces.
This single barrel rum is non-chill filtered with no additives, yielding 243 bottles at a cask strength of 58.8% ABV.
